Fantastic career opportunity for a capable Operations Manager to join the Senior Management Team of a multi-disciplined consultancy, who provide services to clients within the Utilities, Construction and Civil Engineering sectors.

What the job involves:

Responsibilities include:

* As a Senior Management team member, reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, contribute to creating and implementing company plans, policies, targets, budgets and procedures, ensuring legislative compliance is maintained
* Guide the business forward in alignment with company vision and objectives
* Effectively engage new targeted customers and stakeholders, and using your professional contacts and influencing skills to strategically nurture and develop both existing and new client relationships
* Effectively delegate and monitor all Managers and Team Leaders
* Manage and monitor budgets, making sound commercial decisions for the benefit of the company
* Develop and demonstrate a deep understanding of the commercial and economic engines of the business, and where resources can be focused to promote and achieve expertise and excellence.

Is this you?

The successful candidate will have all or most of the following:


* Proven experience of Operations Management within a relevant organisation (e.g. 1st Tier contractor, Infrastructure, Utilities, Highways etc)
* A relevant degree and/or qualification in CDM/SHEQ desirable
* Good IT literacy
* Strong customer focus and influencing skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* UK Driving licence
* Able to work permanently in the mid Essex area, and travel to customer sites as required
