Our client is a well established Automotive castings and piping parts exporter. Due to continued success since its inception in the early 90’s they have taken the decision to expand into UK water industry. With this expansion the company has growth significantly in the last 12 – 18 months which has created a need for a part time Senior HR professional to implement contractual changes and help facilitate with expansion within the parameters of current employment law. Our challenge was to find an experienced HR Professional with the appropriate skills who would fit the businesses culturally to implement the company policy whilst providing balanced support to the staff.


  • To source a suitable individual with the experience and qualifications needed to implement change, HR policies and procedures and to draft a company handbook.
  • Using market knowledge, provide salary, qualification and best fit guidance to help create a realistic vision of the perfect candidate
  • To ensure the working style of our short listed candidates complimented our clients business culture
  • To complete the project within a fixed timescale
  • Ensure the role was treated in a strict confidential manner due to the sensitivity of the position.


  • Gained a comprehensive understanding of the role, the responsibilities, pre-requisites and person specification with a confidential on-site meeting
  • Agreed fixed project timescales from preliminary through to final interview stages
  • Production of detailed advert
  • Complete targeted search and selection using our network of HR contacts within our specialist sector
  • Conduct two thorough interviews and skills based assessments as required
  • Referencing and interview arrangement


  • Two shortlisted candidates were taken through to final interview stage, leading to offer stage
  • A fully assisted offer and negotiation process was carried out resulting in a mutually beneficial conclusion and the appointment of our candidate
  • After three months in the role it was determined that the work load was too great to be comfortably managed by part time hours and we were instructed to re-start the recruitment search for a full time HR Professional. The position was successfully filled two weeks later.
