HR Assistant | Rainham | Part-time 20 hours | Pro Rata £10k – 17k
6‑month temporary contract with the potential to become permanent
One to One Personnel are seeking a proactive and well‑organised HR Assistant to support day to day HR operations within a busy but small working environment. This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative skills, excellent attention to detail and a genuine interest in HR processes. Working closely with the HR team, you will assist with recruitment, onboarding, employee records, payroll support and general HR queries, ensuring a smooth and professional service for all staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the recruitment process by posting job adverts, screening CVs and scheduling interviews.
- Conduct HR checks for blue‑collar employees.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR databases.
- Assist with onboarding, including preparing documentation, orientation materials and initial training.
- Provide support with payroll processing and benefits administration.
- Help coordinate employee training and development activities.
- Respond to employee queries regarding HR policies, procedures and benefits.
- Assist in preparing HR reports, documentation and presentations.
- Contribute to HR projects and initiatives as required.
Qualifications & Skills
- Ideally you will be CIPD qualified or have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
- Previous HR or administrative experience is an advantage.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Clear and confident verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach.
The Package
- Part‑time, 6-month temporary contract (20 hours per week) ideally 10:00am – 2:00pm Monday to Friday
- Salary range: £10,000 – £17,500 annually depending on experience

- 25 days + Bank Holidays (pro rata) (5 days to be saved for Christmas shutdown)
