Workshop & Field Service Mechanical Engineers

An Essex based company (amazing year on year growth) providing Engineering Service solutions for power and heavy engineering & process industries across the UK is now looking for experienced Mechanical Engineers to strengthen the team offering a varied and secure role for on-site machine maintenance and workshop production.


What’s in it for you?


  • £31,000 to £36,000 depending on qualifications and experience + £3,600.00 per annum on top of this for travel allowance
  • Company van fully kitted out + fuel card
  • 28 days per annual holidays + pension + sick pay
  • 40-hour week during normal office hours Monday – Friday
  • Out of hours call outs (1 in 5) will be a part of this role
  • Vehicle, uniform, PPE, mobile phone and tools will be provided
  • Uncapped overtime structure
  • Statutory Pension Scheme

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Mechanical repairs and maintenance to turbines, valves, pumps, conveyors and gearboxes etc.
  • Fault find and correct malfunctioning components
  • To carry out diagnostics and correct or replace malfunctioning components.
  • Candidates must have experience within the heavy engineering sectors (Aggregate or Power Industries), good rotating equipment knowledge and hand on skills and abilities
  • Effectively manage work schedule.

  • Have a good level of fitness due to the physical demands of the job.
  • Be able to pass security clearances.
  • Have a flexible and positive outlook.
  • Be available for call out.
  • Have relevant experience within heavy engineering sectors
  • Time-served and indentured to ONC & HNC


Desirable and Technical Skills:


  • Recognised Health and Safety training
  • Welding experience and qualification
  • Hydraulic, pneumatic or fluid system experience
  • Previous experience; Power generation sector ‘prime movers and BOP
  • Previous experience; Aggregate Concrete & Asphalt Batching Plants
