For this exceptional career opportunity within a well-established and steadily growing Southend based accountancy practice we are offering a salary between £24,000 to £26,000 + excellent quarterly bonuses and 31 days paid holiday per year.
In return you should be a natural multitasker who is good under pressure and an excellent communicator with a demonstrable career background in Bookkeeping and Payroll.
Established in 1970 we are an owner run independent practice with a long service team of accountants and support staff. Being a small business, your role of a Bookkeeper and Payroll Administrator plays a key part in the successful completion of client records on both manual and computerised systems, confirmation of vat and completing vat returns. Bank, Supplier and sales reconciliations along with payroll for 100 small businesses who employ 1-30 staff.
In your day to day role you will be using standard accounting and payroll software like Xero, Kashflow, Sage, Iris and Virtual Cabinet. Whilst it is expected that you will be fluent in most areas, training will be provided on some of the more current platforms.
You will have regular contact with clients and their staff, so it is essential that you are able to communicate at all levels via phone and by email and process clients private data within a regulated environment. The ability to carry out accurate data entry without errors is crucial as well as the foresight to anticipate, address and solve problems as and when they arise is also an essential part of this role.
Training and support will be provided on systems and processes from the company owners and their team of support staff.
35 hours per week with flexible working Monday to Friday 8:30 to 5:30 with 31 days holiday per annum including public holidays and statutory pension.
Previous Experience
