The company

A market leading commercial decorating company with 15 years of experience in the industry is now looking for aa experienced  Estimator to strengthen their team based in Essex.

Over 15 years of experience in the industry, including international projects, they will revitalise your business space providing a superior service combining efficiency and quality with the decorating services they offer encompassing commercial, retail, education and office refurbishment.

The highly experienced team will adapt to clients’ needs and guarantee the project proceeds smoothly, efficiently and on budget

The role

Purpose of the Job:      

To undertake and support the estimating role for new tenders. The Estimator reports to the Contracts Manager and will be deciding which tenders have priority to ensure they are submitted by the due date.

Responsibilities and Duties

Duties will include but are not limited to the following:

• Reviewing data and documents, schedules, drawings and any other relevant tender documents.
• Preparing and updating any project estimates.
• Ensuring that the documents are filed in the correct tender / quote files
• Gathering the relevant information (on site) to produce the project estimates.

Is this you?

Desirable and Technical Skills:

• Relevant qualification within Surveying or a Construction related discipline would be an advantage.
• Several years’ experience as an estimator in a similar role.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong verbal and oral communication skills.
• Good time management and scheduling skills.
• Able to work under pressure.
• Proficient in using computer applications (e.g. MS Office)
• Experience in AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of surveys and tendering.
• Full, clean driving licence.
