Our well-established client, located in Hertfordshire, is a leading force in precision manufacturing. As they continue to expand, they are seeking a skilled and dedicated Star Sliding Head CNC Machine Setter and Operator to join their team.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Set up and operate Star and Hanwha Sliding Head CNC machines to produce precision components based on engineering drawings and specifications
- Conduct routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity
- Monitor machine output, make necessary adjustments, and troubleshoot issues as they arise
- Collaborate with the production team to meet deadlines and maintain high-quality standards
- Perform inspections on finished products to ensure they meet quality specifications
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience as a Sliding Head CNC Machine Setter and Operator
- Proficient in interpreting and working from engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming, tooling, and machining processes
- Ability to perform routine maintenance on CNC machines
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality control
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
What’s on Offer
- Salary Range: £35,000 - £45,000 (dependent on experience)
- Monday to Friday - 7:15 am to 4:15 pm, 7:15 am to 2:45 pm
- Saturday overtime available at time and one half 7:00 am – 11:00 am
