Fire Alarm Installation Engineer
Full-Time | Monday to Friday | On the Road | Essex & London
Salary range: £36,000 - £38,000PA
One to One Personnel is recruiting on behalf of a well‑established, family run Fire & Security specialist with an excellent reputation for delivering reliable, high quality services across Essex and London.
We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Installation Engineer to join their expanding team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and fault finding on a variety of fire alarm systems in both commercial and domestic settings. You will work independently and as part of a team on larger contracts when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems
- Ensure all works meet industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Deliver excellent customer service
- Carry out servicing in line with BAFE SP203‑1 specifications
- Perform fault finding and diagnostics to resolve system issues
- Interpret building plans and CAD drawings
- Maintain accurate documentation and service records
- Stay up to date with regulations and ongoing training
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong working knowledge of BS5839 Part‑1:2025
- Proven experience with fire alarm systems
- Good understanding of fire safety regulations
- Self‑motivated, well‑organised, and strong communication skills
- Excellent diagnostic and fault finding abilities
- Good IT literacy
- ECS or CSCS card (advantageous)
- FIA units in maintenance, service, and design (advantageous)
- Eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship

Salary & Hours
- £17.51 – £18.38 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
- On‑call rota: 1 week in 9
- Overtime and weekend work available
- Monday to Friday, full‑time
