Role Overview

Reporting to the Operations Director, you will manage and support a team of Field Service Engineers, oversee training and onboarding, coordinate scheduling, and ensure efficient logistics operations. This role requires excellent people skills, strong organisation, efficiency, commercial awareness, and good Microsoft Office ability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Field Service Engineers with equipment training (Pro‑Cloud, BEST and in‑field) and maintain accurate training records
  • Onboard new field staff and deliver full induction processes
  • Oversee Zone 3 Refurbishment Suite – workflow, staffing and throughput
  • Provide support to field teams mainly at DA14 5HS, with occasional work at Slade Green (DA8 2DH)
  • Plan, organise and schedule internal and external training sessions
  • Assist Customer Service with day‑to‑day scheduling or rota issues
  • Ensure engineers hold correct parts to maximise first‑time fix rates
  • Conduct regular QC/HS vehicle swab checks
  • Ensure field staff have correct uniform, PPE and maintain professional appearance
  • Manage parking fine queries
  • Record sickness and absence on the ATLAS system
  • Plan and manage staff annual leave to ensure sufficient business coverage
  • Produce weekly/monthly on‑call and field schedules, including Saturday staffing (manager does not work Saturdays but must schedule them)
  • Identify training and development needs within the field team
  • Report shortages of parts across all contracts
  • Conduct regular 1:1 reviews with Field Service Technicians
  • Deliver training to external partners/clients when required
  • Oversee fleet management
  • Contribute as a key member of the management team, attending meetings and supporting operational outcomes

 

Hands‑On Technical & Logistics Duties

  • Fault‑find, repair and service equipment to a high standard across homes, hospitals, care homes, schools and head office
  • Deliver and demonstrate equipment following correct handover procedures
  • Collect equipment as required
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance
  • Respond to COE repair/call‑outs
  • Follow strict infection-control and health & safety procedures
  • Maintain vehicle security and serviceability
  • Take accountability for company assets and equipment
  • Complete all job sheets and paperwork accurately, including obtaining signatures
  • Maintain required van stock levels
  • Produce consistent, high‑quality work and follow company policies at all times
