Bookkeeping Administrator
On-Site | Westcliff on Sea | 37.5 hours | Permanent | Upto £32,000 PA plus discretionary annual bonus
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Bookkeeping Administrator to join a professional and growing organisation. This varied role will suit someone who enjoys a combination of finance and office administration, supporting the smooth running of the business while managing day-to-day bookkeeping responsibilities. You will work closely with colleagues, clients, and external contacts, using your organisational skills, attention to detail, and proactive approach to deliver a high standard of support within a busy office environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping responsibilities using QuickBooks.
- Process expenses and invoices, monitor late payments, and deal with account queries.
- Assist with bank requests and maintain accurate financial records.
- Manage timesheets and ensure information is recorded correctly.
- Act as the first point of contact for callers.
- Deal with post delivered to the office.
- Manage the ordering of office supplies, including stationery, office sundries, fruit, and drinks.
- Organise the programme of office maintenance tasks and liaise with contractors, ensuring the office is maintained as a pleasant, clean, and safe working environment.
- Operate HR systems, ensuring new colleagues have access to required platforms and complete induction processes and right-to-work checks.
- Issue anti-money laundering verification requests using automated systems and maintain records of identity documents due for review.
- Undertake a variety of other responsibilities to support the efficient running of the office.
Skills & Experience:
- Previous bookkeeping and administrative experience.
- Experience using QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
- Numerate and able to prepare written work to a high standard.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
- Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Outlook, with the willingness to learn new IT systems.
- Experience working in a customer-focused role would be beneficial.
- Ability to manage time effectively, work to deadlines, and prioritise a varied workload.

Job Details & Benefits:
- Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm (37.5 hours per week)
