Claims & Service Adviser

Shoeburyness, Essex | £26,000 + Bonus | Monday to Friday | 37.5 Hours

We're recruiting a Claims & Service Adviser to join a growing, forward-thinking insurance business where you'll work across Gadget, Travel and Ticket Protection products. This is a genuinely varied role combining claims handling, customer service, policy administration, sales support and complaints resolution, giving you real ownership of customer cases from start to finish.

If you've worked in a regulated insurance environment and enjoy delivering outstanding customer service while solving problems, we'd love to hear from you.

What's in it for you?

  • Immediate start available.
  • A varied role across claims, customer service, sales support and complaints.
  • Be part of a growing, innovative insurance business.
  • Supportive and collaborative team environment.
  • Opportunity to learn multiple insurance products and develop your career.
  • A business that encourages new ideas and continuous improvement.

The Role

You'll be responsible for supporting customers across a range of insurance products, taking ownership of claims and service queries from start to finish.

You'll be involved in:

  • Managing gadget, mobile phone and travel insurance claims.
  • Handling ticket protection claims and refund requests.
  • Speaking with customers by phone and email.
  • Taking premium and excess payments.
  • Processing policy amendments, cancellations and retention conversations.
  • Resolving first-line customer complaints.
  • Working with underwriters, repair partners, finance and internal teams to achieve the best outcome for customers.

This is not a scripted call centre role — you'll have variety, responsibility and the opportunity to manage cases through to resolution.

We're looking for someone who has:

Essential

  • Experience working within a regulated insurance business.
  • Previous experience in claims handling or insurance customer service.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • A positive, customer-first attitude.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
  • Good Microsoft Word and Excel skills.

Desirable

  • Complaints handling experience.
  • Fraud investigation experience.

You'll be a great fit if you...

  • Enjoy helping customers and solving problems.
  • Like variety rather than repetitive call handling.
  • Take ownership and see tasks through to completion.
  • Are naturally curious and confident suggesting improvements.
  • Thrive in a team that values collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.
