CNC Setter Operator – Milling

 

The role

To program, set and manufacture small-batch aerospace components.

 

What we are looking for

  • Previous CNC Milling experience
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, set CNC Milling machines and use measuring equipment
  • Experience in the aerospace industry is desirable
  • Experience using Metric and Imperial
  • Computer literate
  • Be a team player and have a strong work ethic

 

Your responsibilities

  • Setting/operating and manufacturing a variety of small-batch components from engineering drawings to within tight limits
  • Manufacturing all components within the agreed timescales
  • Setting a variety of CNC machine tools for operators as and when required
  • Using a wide range of measuring equipment to check small-batch components after manufacture
  • Mentoring new staff as required
  • Maintaining the agreed quality rating at all times
  • Making sure that manufactured product is suitably protected for transit
  • Working in the order of the manufacturing plan at all times
  • Ensuring that all manufacturing paperwork is filled out correctly

Job type: Permanent

Location: Southend

Salary: Up to £17.72 per hour (Dependent on experience)

Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:00 to 17:00, Fridays 8:00 to 13:00


Our office opening hours are Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5pm.
