We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Strategy Analyst – Business Intelligence to take ownership of a sophisticated Power BI ecosystem and transform complex, high-volume data into clear, actionable insight across Sales, Operations and Finance. This is a commercially focused role where analytics meets strategy, directly supporting senior leadership in driving performance, profitability and operational efficiency across a multi-brand, multi-channel business.
You will own and develop the organisation’s end-to-end Business Intelligence capability, leading the design, build and continuous improvement of scalable Power BI dashboards, data models and reporting frameworks. Acting as the internal Power BI subject matter expert, you will ensure best-in-class data governance, reporting standards and dashboard architecture while continuously enhancing how the business uses data to inform decision-making.
This role is ideal for a technically strong BI professional with commercial awareness, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys turning complex data into meaningful insight that influences strategy at a senior level.
Essential Skills and Experience
- BSc degree in Data Science/Analytics, Economics, Business or related field (Master’s degree a plus)
- 3+ years in Business Intelligence, Commercial Analytics, FP&A, or business (retail) analytics.
- Advanced Power BI capability, including data modelling, DAX, ETL processes, and dashboard architecture. Must be familiar with SQL servers and Semantic Models.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience working with ERP systems and large datasets.
- Strong communicator, good presentation skills, cross functional collaborator, detail oriented and able to deliver strategic insights.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Power BI Development & Infrastructure Ownership
- Own the end-to-end Power BI environment, including large data models/datasets, semantic models, and dashboard structure.
- Design, build, maintain, and enhance scalable Power BI dashboards used across Sales, Operations, and Finance.
- Manage ETL processes, data transformations, and DAX calculations, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and performance.
- Establish and maintain best practices for BI governance, documentation, version control, and access management.
- Act as the internal Power BI lead and subject-matter expert, supporting assigned users and driving continuous improvement in reporting.
Business Intelligence (BI) Dashboard Management
- Maintain and enhance a cross-functional BI dashboard supporting Sales, Operations, and Finance teams. Ensure the dashboard is up to date, accurate, and provides clear visibility into the following areas:
- Operational BI: Coverage reports, OTIF performance, Order Book insights, Warehouse efficiency (turnaround time), and inventory flows.
- Sales BI: Insights into product and territory performance across channels, margin analysis, price point efficiency, and consumer insights.
- Finance BI: Order-level margin analysis, revenue and margin forecasting and tracking, historical performance review, customer payment patterns, and supplier payment tracking.
Management Reporting & Executive Insights
- Produce regular and ad-hoc reporting for senior management, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and commercial relevance.
- Translate complex datasets into concise insights to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Maintain consistency across management reports and dashboards used for executive and board-level discussions.
Order Book Management
- Monitor and maintain the order book, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and visibility across teams.
- Provide regular updates and insights to support demand planning, sales tracking, and operational decision-making.
- Partner with Sales and Finance teams to track and manage both on-invoice and off-invoice trade terms, ensuring trade investments are aligned with commercial strategy and deliver profitability.
Sell-Through & Inventory Performance Analysis
- Develop appropriate tools for Strategy team to analyse seasonal sell-through, stock coverage, and inventory performance to identify trends and risks.
- Provide category and channel insights to inform assortment planning, pricing decisions, and markdown strategies.
- Support optimisation of stock levels while maintaining inventory efficiency.
Inventory Control
- Inventory management: Maintaining accurate inventory levels in ERP system, ensuring accurate reporting to facilitate purchasing and demand planning.
- Data and record keeping: Updating stock information in ERP system relating to Product Masterdata and maintaining accurate records of all stock movements, purchases, and receipts within the ERP.
- Stock transfers: Manage and control inventory transfers between internal (virtual) and external (physical) warehouses.
- Problem-solving: Identifying and resolving issues related to inventory and shipment reporting inaccuracies.
- Compliance: Ensuring IT and operations are compliant with company policies and regulations.
- Oversee the overall stock health in the business, providing regular reports to management on inventory progressions, stock cover days and stock turnaround cycles.
- Use PowerBI tools to assist Management teams in the creation of inventory packs to help with Clearance deals.
General Support
- Assist the CSO with daily operational management, administrative tasks, ERP management, commercial reviews, and management reporting. The scope of the roles and responsibilities may expand or be varied dependent on the needs of the Company’s business to adapt to changing market conditions.
